Хураангуй:
The Mongolian economy has alternatively been called “Minegolia”, for its heavily reliance on the mining industry, and the “Asian Wolf”. These promising accolades, however, do not tell the recent story of the debt and dubious economic policy in the country. The recent bond debt has yet to be proven sustainable even as the politicians
discuss the further debt. Policy meant to stabilize prices has increased the monetary supply, spurring inflation. The foreign direct investment has slowed dramatically due to the hasty political measures taken then repealed and it remains to be seen whether this investment will ever return. The consequences of these factors send a frightening tale of the economic governance that is short- sighted in an economy vulnerable to the commodity price shocks.
