The primary objective of transformation in the retail sector is to harness digital technologies and innovative business models to enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and sustain growth amid a rapidly evolving and competitive landscape. Technological advancements, the expansion of digital platforms, and enhancements in cybersecurity and logistics have profoundly reshaped the retail industry, rendering it increasingly dynamic and interconnected. The sector is undergoing a shift toward systems that prioritize reliability, faster delivery, quality assurance, and improved accessibility in chain store services. Concurrently, there is a growing emphasis on strengthening collaboration, investment, and regulatory governance among stakeholders in the trade industry to effectively respond to these changes. The integration of digital technologies and globalization continues to redefine the retail ecosystem, presenting both opportunities and challenges for businesses and consumers. Within the scope of this study, a survey was conducted among 595 employees from six major retail organizations operating in Mongolia. Using a 5-point Likert scale, responses were analyzed and prioritized based on the core elements of Porter’s Diamond Model: factor conditions; demand conditions; related and supporting industries; firm strategy, structure, and rivalry; the role of government; and chance or external events. |
