The Impact of Pandemic on Housing Price in Mongolia

Abstract

The sample period is before the pandemic and the present day. I will investigate the impact of COVID-19 on housing prices in Mongolia. Before studying financial regulation of the housing market, I reviewed a preliminary study on the general consumer price, average wages, production, factories, and the prevalence of COVID-19 in Mongolia. In addition, this thesis includes a comparison of housing prices and a difference in the price of construction materials between 2019 and 2021. Furthermore, I clarified where Mongolia obtains its materials, whether they are produced domestically or imported, and what percentage of them are imported. The result of the research will demonstrate how the housing price and the price of construction materials have changed due to the pandemic and the financial problems of buying a house in Mongolia.
